Why does the receptionist need to ask what's wrong with me
Consultations are by appointment only and can be booked either by telephone on 01992 761387 or in person during reception hours.
Please cancel if you cannot attend your appointment.
Unfortunately due to the high number of patients not attending their appointments (DNA) the following protocol will be implemented.
- If patient DNA's an appointment twice or more within 6 months they will be sent a letter confirming practice DNA policy.
- Any further DNA's will be bought to the attention of lead GP and practice manager who will contact you for your reasons for persistent DNA's.
- Further DNA's will result in a final warning letter.
- Patient will be removed from practice list.
We would like to stress the importance of keeping appointments, please phone and let us know if you are unable to keep your appointment so that we can offer it to someone else.
If you wish to see a doctor urgently and cannot wait for a routine appointment, please let us know and we will try to fit you in as soon as possible. Please be aware you may have to wait until last appointment of that surgery.
We recognise that it can sometimes be difficult to arrive on time for an appointment due to traffic and other difficulties. However, if you are more than 10 minutes late you may have to wait and be seen at a different time or asked to make a new appointment.
